Our Story

Welcome to Lucky Penny Ranch in Alexandria, Minnesota, ​founded by Christa and Justin Shutter. Our mission is to ​create a nurturing environment where children, particularly ​those with special needs, can connect with horses and build ​confidence through riding and care. With a variety of services ​including horse riding lessons, trail rides, boarding and event ​hosting, we cater to both horse owners and those new to the ​equestrian world. Our facilities support year-round activities, ​and we love to engage the community with events, birthday ​parties, and have plans for equestrian merchandise. At Lucky ​Penny Ranch, we believe in the transformative power of ​patience and connection with horses, and we invite you to join ​us in this fun and fulfilling journey.
